Memorable Manoir Becancourt

My wife and I were looking for a stop in the Quebec countryside on our way from Boston to Quebec City; something quaint, quiet (and near golf courses). We found all that at Manoir Becancourt and more. The owner/hostess was wonderfully helpful, and bilingual, helping us with golf and church times etc since we speak no French. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. There are only five rooms which was great for us and would suit all who like the country inn/B&B setting. You do share a bath but it is no bother, very European and they provide big fluffy robes to ease your way...
Best of all was the gourmet dinner offered in the restaurant. I selected a 'porc wellington' which was expertly prepared while my wife had a locally caught fresh fish, also good. The wine list is good and we chose a Chilean red that was excellent. After dinner we were very comfortable walking through the village nodding bon soir to those sitting on their porches in the summer evening.
