Le Manoir Bécancourt is recognized throughout the region as a sole representative of William Morris’s construction, famous English architect whose art was strongly influenced by the Victorian fashion.

The imposing appearance of the structure, the height of celings, the presence of many windows, moldings, etc.. it says a lot about the tastes and culture of Achilles A. Leduc who commissioned the construction in 1912.

Leduc, a local notary, was madly in love for a woman from Montreal and in order to convince her to come and live in Becancour he constructed the most beautiful house in the region.

The manor was afterwards used as a hotel in the 1950s  and was known as Marie Victorin.

During 1960s to 1980s  served as a family home.

In the 1980s, the City bought the Manor Bécancourt in order to convert the property into the City Hall, but unfortunately due to high costs, it decides to abandon the project.

The Manor was abandoned for five years and is at an auction that the Manor was purchaised by Clairette Biron and Yvon Beaulieu.

Yvon is the person who brings back the original beauty of the manor, working day and night.

In 1985 Manoir Bécancourt opends it’s door as restaurant and high quality catering .
